I have decided to make a difference – not only in my life but also to other people who really need it. My goal is to run the ING New York City Marathon and raise $7500 for the Heart Foundation by 11 October 2012. The Heart Foundation is Australia’s leading heart health charity and is funded almost entirely by donations. My father suffered a heart attack 6 years ago and needed a triple bypass. I have experienced first hand how heart disease can affect families and the importance of encouraging others to lead a healthy lifestyle. Heart Foundation
The Heart Foundation is Australia’s leading heart health charity working to fight cardiovascular disease (heart, stroke & blood vessel disease), which claims one Australian life nearly every ten minutes. The funds you raise will help the Heart Foundation fund critical research, education and community programs to help save lives and improve the health of all Australians.
How your fundraising helps:
- A donation of $100 will enable 20 people to speak to the Heart Foundation's professional heart health information service staff and receive heart health materials.
- A donation of $200 will enable the distribution of our latest heart disease management guide to over 100 health professionals, to provide the best possible care for heart patients.
- A donation of $500 will help us fund a world-class research project for two days.
